French-American coloratura soprano (1898-1976), a Met star for nearly 30 years. Over 60 photographs from different moments in her life and career, starting at the age of 14, including her tours during WWII, stage performances and a few personal mugshot photos, etc. Only 1 half-tone is signed, the rest unsigned. Sizes range is 8.5 x 11.5 inches, many 8 x 10 inches, all in excellent condition. Besides, over 20 programs of performances she did, some early ones in France, newspaper clips with comments about her performances and playbill announcements of her recitals. A “Lily Pons Souvenir Life Story” booklet and a few letters she received including one from the Major of New York, newspaper clips about her passing way in February, 1976. Also, a few christmas cards sent by her and a handwritten note from her singing teacher Alberto de Gorostiaga (1880-1957), plus some photos with him.
